Die Laughing was the self-titled follow up show to 2004's Dissent Disrupt Desert. In essence, the show was planned as way of taking the DDD show interstate (Melbourne) whilst also creating new works. The finished result was two 6m x 2.4m panels, installed at Earlyspace Gallery in Smith St., Collingwood.
The two works, False Idols #01 and False Idols #02 were installed facing each other on the side walls of the gallery - creating a "mirror" effect with their centralized motifs. The pseudo-religious elements within the paintings reference the current world hype surrounding

religious zealotism, fear and righteousness.

A good crowd turned up for the opening (it was Jamin, Paicey & Empire's first show in Melbourne) and the work was recieved well and praised for it's scale and colour. Flase Idols #01 sold on the opening night. False Idols #02 is available and in Melbourne.
